Cruising
The Reactor is an excellent cruising bot. It is very sea-kindly, easily managed by one person and very forgiving of errors in seamanship.
Throughout the year Reactors can often be found tucked up in the various New Zealand anchorages having spent a glorious day cruising.
Every year the Association organises a rally to either: Bay of Islands, Great Barrier, or Coromandel. These are well attended and offer an opportunity for a newcomer to sailing to sail a distance in company of more experienced sailors.
