Wishbone completes 2010 Trans Tasman solo race

Wishbone wins 2008 Coastal Classic

83 yachts out of 229 entrants finished the HSBC Premier Coastal Classic for 2008. In a race that had a little bit of everything.

Special congratulations must go to Wishbone, not only the smallest boat to finish, but the winner of the two handed division, and the last finisher to arrive in Russell at 1947hrs yesterday evening.

History

Number built: 77, possibly a 78th reported in the Marquesas Islands. First Reactor was timber, the plug for the fiberglass mould, (originally Armageddon, now Madam Butterfly. First fiberglass Reactor was named Reactor, Paul Whiting's boat. First production Reactor was Command, owned by Bill Tweed. Last Reactor built: Negrita by Tony Kidd (Warkworth, 1987).
